Lynn S. Liben, Ph.D., is Distinguished Professor of Psychology at the Pennsylvania State University at University Park where she also holds faculty appointments in Human Development and Family Studies and in the College of Education.

Dr. Liben’s research focuses on children’s developing understanding of spatial representations such as maps and photographs and on why even some adults continue to have difficulty using them. Her research has helped to design educational programming in various contexts
